Every state writes its own limits, and the boundaries don't follow the bank you're standing on. LureMark works out which authority governs your spot and shows those rules, with the official source linked.

Questions anglers actually ask

Is it on the App Store or Google Play?

Not yet. LureMark runs in your browser and installs to your home screen in two taps, full screen, offline, camera and GPS included. Native builds are in development.

What does Plan a trip actually check?

Wind through your window, the tide and when it turns (or the live dam and river level inland), swell and sea temperature on the coast, and the rules for your target on that date. Each check comes back Good, OK or Poor with its source, and the verdict is a plain Go, Worth a look, or Give it a miss. The checks are free on every plan.

Does it work where there's no reception?

Yes. Download your map area before you leave and log catches as normal. Everything queues on the phone and syncs when you're back in range.

Which dams and rivers have live data?

66 impoundments report level and %-full through G-MW, WaterNSW, SunWater, Seqwater, Hydro Tasmania and SRW, and 122 river gauges report height and flow, most of them hourly from the state agency that owns the gauge. Behind those sits a list of 200+ named waterways, so your spot is findable even without a gauge.

Can other people see my spots?

No. Your spots stay private. You can share a catch with friends or a group while keeping the exact location to yourself, and nearby-angler information is aggregated and anonymised.

How does the app know which state's rules apply?

From the fishing spot, not your profile. The pin decides the jurisdiction, then the region or waterway decides which rule applies. Border waters map to the authority that actually governs them, and on a midstream border the app asks which side you're on. The official measuring method is shown with every size limit.

Is the AI going to tell me something wrong about the rules?

Size, bag and season answers come from a reviewed rules table with the official source and the date it was last checked. The assistant can't answer those from memory, and if there's no verified rule for your spot it says so. Treat it as a guide and always confirm with your state fisheries authority before you keep a fish.
